Holiday Happy Hour celebration at new downtown pizzeria
CHAMPAIGN, IL (November 11,2015) – The Land Connection is hosting their second annual Holiday Happy Hour on Thursday, December 3 from 5:00-8:00p.m. at the new Pizzeria Antica in Downtown Champaign. TLC will be serving locally sourced hors d’oeuvres including meats, cheeses and fresh Neapolitan-style pizzas. The evening is an opportunity for community members to learn about and discuss the local food movement in Champaign, how TLC helps farmers, and hear more about the new Downtown Champaign Farmers’ Market.
The $20 tickets cover entry to the event, appetizers, and one glass of wine. Attendees will also be able to purchase raffle tickets at the door for a chance to win prizes donated by local businesses and organizations. Prizes range from restaurant gift certificates, to prepared food products from Champaign Farmers’ Market vendors, to a wine package from Sleepy Creek Vineyards. Raffle winners could even get 2 week share pick up from Sola Gratia Farm.
This evening is family friendly, and children under 10 years old will be admitted free of charge.
All proceeds from the Holiday Happy Hour will go toward supporting The Land Connection’s training and community outreach programs.
