THIRD ANNUAL JAPAN HOUSE POP-UP HOLIDAY BAZAAR
December 12-13, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. both days.
Japan House is holding its third annual Holiday Bazaar this weekend, with proceeds going to fund its internship program.
Just a few of the things you will find: Asian pottery, kimonos, origami, handmade crafts (our interns have been hard at work), traditional American quilts, scrolls, books, prints, matcha tea and tea equipment, jewelry, and gift certificates for tea ceremonies or yukata dressing events for you and your friends. Many items at the Bazaar are Asian, or Asian inspired, but there are also many items form other cultures across the globe. You’ll even be able to order holiday pies from Cream & Flutter (Japanese Whisky Pecan, French Apple, or Pear Blueberry). They will not only give you a minipie when you order but also donate part of the cost of the p ie to Japan House. Do your shopping in the beauty of Japan House. There will be a wide range of prices — for all budgets — and items are priced to GO!
On Friday evening, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. there will be a special reception for Tomonokai members and their friends. You are a Tomonokai member if you have donated $50 or more to Japan House in the last year ($25 for students). Tomonokai members are welcome to bring a friend and will not only get first crack at the Bazaar but also enjoy holiday drinks and appetizers!
Saturday, December 12th, and Sunday, December 13th, will be open to all from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
