The Outhaus specializes in limited engagements, and likewise this evening from 6-9 p.m. will be your chance to see the work of Chicago artist Edra Soto.
The irony of using an organic structure such as vines in metal and architectural decorations is observed and explored in Soto’s brief installation, which will use clip-art sources to recreate the appearance of vines inside the domestic space. From the press release, “Vines are associated with interconnection, opportunity, fertility, continuation, eternity and diversity. It lives a trail, and promises celebrations.”
