First Federal Savings Bank of Champaign Urbana is hosting a tomato giveaway of 2 free Super Fantastic tomato plants on May 2nd when anyone visits one of their two offices from 9 am – 5pm.

Champaign, Illinois – First Federal Savings Bank of Champaign-Urbana announced the 34th annual tomato plant giveaway. This year’s event will be held on Monday, May 2nd. Each person who enters the bank between 9am and 5 pm can pick up two FREE Super Fantastic variety tomato plants, while supplies last. It is not necessary to be a bank customer -everyone is welcome. The bank will also have a drawing for a pair of Illinois Football season tickets. No purchase is necessary. The bank’s locations are: 1311 South Neil Street ,Champaign, and 301 W. Springfield Avenue, Urbana.
First Federal’s marketing director, Ata Durukan, said the bank’s tomato day promotion was created by President and CEO, George Rouse, to introduce the bank’s locations to the community. Durukan said, “This is a fantastic way for our institution to continue to connect with the community and to welcome spring. First Federal Savings Bank of Champaign-Urbana has been a local, community bank here since 1908. It’s a great pleasure to be able to meet so many wonderful people who visit our offices on tomato day.”
