VIGIL TO REMEMBER ORLANDO
A peaceful gathering of love and support in honor of the fallen and the wounded from the LGBTQ Orlando nightclub Pulse.
CHAMPAIGN, IL – On Tuesday, June 14, 2016 there will be a coming together at Westside Park in Champaign for those who want to honor the LGBTQ brothers and sisters who were killed or injured in the horrific attack on the Pulse nightclub in Orlando this past Saturday.
The attack on club Pulse resonates with many across the country, and those in the LGBTQ community especially. Local organizers have decided to offer a way for folks to band together in love and hope as they honor the people whose lives were taken or disrupted simply because of their perceived sexual gender and identity.
Those with love in their hearts are invited to participate in the vigil, to be held at West Side Park at 7:00PM on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 by the central fountain. Members of the local LGBTQ, faith and political communities will be on-hand to say a few words.
