We are taking over Brother’s Bar and Grill for a night and returning to the great days of rock and power pop at Mabel’s.
Thanks to an idea started by Jeff Evans, we’ve got another night of great music at Mabel’s! This one showcases some great power pop and rock from Champaign’s great local music scene!
Live music from:
- Last Gentlemen
- Nix ’86
- The Martyrs
- Three Hour Tour (Darren Cooper/Parasol Records)
- The Jans Project (B Lovers/Turning Curious)
- The Surly Bells (Ken Draznick, Jimmy Wald of Vertebrats & special guests)
- and a dj set by Charlie “The Quaker” Edwards (Record Swap, The Quaker Goes Deaf, Reckless Records) between bands
Special Note:
We will be filming during the event for inclusion in the documentary Where It Begins: 1977-2000 by Swede Films so be aware that you may end up in the film. Your presence at this event constitutes your consent to be filmed.
There may be some special guests at the show too, you never know!
Tickets are on sale here via Eventbrite.
