If you’ve been out at all lately, you’ve probably noticed a large amount of people walking around, staring at their phones trying to catch Pokemon on a video game. From a purely observational perspective, new technological capabilities are making our lives more convenient and interesting than ever before. This same type of convenience in innovation is being felt everywhere, including in the City of Champaign’s Public Works Department.
Just this week, they have unveiled a new website for their Move In/Out service, where they will pick up all types of goods from your curbside and donate them to local non-profit organizations (so long as you live in the City of Champaign).
This site will allow you to pick a 15 minute window of your choice, and at that time, Public Works will come to your curbside and pick up any junk you have that needs to leave the premises.
What a time to be alive; the future is now. Pay a visit to the website for yourself to schedule a time to have your items picked up and donated to non-profits.
