CUDO Plays is an annual competition that encourages the community to “build the game you want to play.” I use the word competition loosely, because while there are prizes, the entire group tends to work together to conceive, construct and critique each others’ creations until the very last minute.
Then it’s a cutthroat battle royale for professional and product prizes. No, no, I kid. Then the finished products are played by judges privately …but there are still prizes.
If you like to play boardgames, design artwork, or consider yourself a maker, think about attending one of the kickoff events being held this week. It will present all the information you need to participate, or just make a decision about whether or not it’s for you.
Speaking of “for you”, anyone can go to either meeting, but the Student meeting may highlight some resources that are more available to persons enrolled at the University. So choose which one is most convenient/applicable, and stop on by.
