Local hip-hop collective Rogue Tendency have put out their first official release. Called RTep, the EP is an apt representation of the versatility of the group, who excel in using their individual experiences to create an eclectic sound. The group’s main focus is rap music, but they strive to break through common misconceptions and stereotypes that surround the genre in order to cultivate a cooperative, good-natured setting for their music. The EP is available through iTunes and on the band’s website. The first single from the EP, entitled “That Hot,” is featured below.
Rogue Tendency are celebrating their EP release with a show and party on Saturday, Dec. 17th, at Canopy Club. That show will also feature performances by Trouble Chasin’, Square Donuts, OG Temple, and DJ Duff. Check out the event page for more information.
