Urbananites are not fooling around when it comes to outdoor eating, and every year, Huaraches Moroleon has upped its patio game.
First, they cleaned up the alley behind their dumpsters and put some tables there.
The next year, they poured concrete and put up a fence.
Today, I walked by to find the table-umbrellas replaced by full-on tent action.
This effectively doubles the capacity of the restaurant and is no longer weather-dependent. Since they’ve expanded their drink menu, this is going to make for some incredible happy hours stretching into sunset and beyond. Now if only they’d bring back the coconut margarita…
Since that’s not happening, I recommend the $5 Cantaritos if you booze, and the Agua de jamaica if you don’t. I’m pretty sure that they’re the only place that serves either.
