It’s been a while since I’ve publicly expressed my love for Carmella’s doughnuts. They’re delicious. I encourage you to treat yourself and someone you love to doughnuts this weekend, especially because it’s disgusting outside, and you should be inside in the A/C watching movies and eating snacks. Remember to bring cash (or a check), as Carmella’s does not take plastic. Personal favorites are the cinnamon bun, the cinnamon twist, the old fashioned, and the blueberry.
Carmella’s is located at 1611 West Springfield Avenue, Champaign, and open Monday through Saturday, 5:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, 5:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
