The upcoming installment of C-U Across the Prairie & Gran Fondo by Prairie Cycle Club is on Saturday, August 26th, and a portion of the proceeds will go to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County.

C-U ACROSS THE PRAIRIE RIDE (CUAP), Prairie Cycle Club’s 46th Annual Cycling Extravaganza, is scheduled for Saturday August 26, 2017 and will coincide with downtown Urbana’s annual Sweet Corn Festival.
A portion of the ride’s proceeds will be donated to the Habitat for Humanity. Those registering before the day of the ride will be entered into a drawing for gift certificates from Durst Cycle and Champaign Surplus
Ride choices from 25, 45, 65, 100 miles, over flat to gently rolling terrain (maps here) and a 7 mile family ride departing at 10am
Registration and Departure point: Parasol Records, 303 W Griggs, Urbana IL, 7-10am, although 100 mi riders should leave by 7:30am and 63 mi riders should leave by 9:00 am.
The day will start with an oatmeal/bagel bar (7-930 am) with all the trimmings brown sugar, bananas, raisins, other fruit and milk at Parasol Records. It’s a sustaining breakfast, and we’ll also have bagels and fruit. There will be snack stops on the route if you need refueling during the ride. At the finish of your ride, your wristband will entitle you to join the spaghetti lunch, a refreshing finish for your ride.
The Ride will also provide support services, marked route, maps, and a GPS downloadable route that you can follow on your GPS device.
SAG vehicle support until 4PM.
All riders under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
The Prairie Cycle Club strongly encourages all riders to wear helmets.
