Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County is offering a free six-part home ownership and financial education series this fall — and it is totally open to the community to utilize it.

The program includes a comprehensive overview of the home purchase process to help potential homebuyers make informed decisions in their journey to becoming home owners. Classes are offered at Habitat for Humanity, 119 E University Ave in Champaign, in cooperation with local banks, credit unions, and the University of Illinois Extension Office. Topics include- managing your money, understanding credit, budgeting, saving and record keeping; as well as shopping, financing and protecting your investment.
