The Giertz Gallery over at Parkland College will host it’s State of the Art: Ceramics Invitational, opening Monday, November 13th.
The invitational will feature artists from all over the country and is curated by Bill Griffith a practicing ceramic artist who has worked in Gatlinburg, Tennessee for 29 years as the assistant director and program director at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts.
The exhibit will hosting a series of events and closures on the following days:
Runs: November 13, 2017 – February 3, 2018
Reception: Thursday, November 16, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., with live music
Gallery Talk: November 16, 6:30 p.m. by guest curator
Bill GriffithGallery closed November 22 (5 p.m.) – November 26 for Thanksgiving
Gallery closed December 11 – January 15 for Winter Break
Both the exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.
