This year the primary election date, March 20th, falls during UIUC spring break. As of yet, the Champaign County Clerk’s office has denied requests for additional early voting locations. The Illinois Student Government, with the support of several student groups including the Illini Republicans and Illini Democrats, have put forth a resolution designating March 14th as Illini Voting Day, in an effort to encourage students to get out and vote before they go on break. Part of the resolution is a request for an additional polling location in the Pennslyvania Avenue Residence Halls. See the full resolution below:
