The Plan our Plaza team has taken input from the community and come up with a concept plan. Here is their overview:
“The concept design replaces a portion of the parking through parallel parking on both sides of Neil Street and new angled parking on Washington and Fremont Streets. It is a flexible space that can accommodate large and small events, but is also a daily destination with a lawn, climbable sculptures, a lighted interactive fountain, stage, business incubator kiosks and more.”
If you’re interested in learning more specifics and/or giving your two cents, you can visit the Plan Our Plaza website to read more and take a short survey.
The next phase will be sharing their plans with the community, beginning with a City Council study session tonight at 7 p.m. After speaking with other area organizations throughout the month, there will be a community open house on October 1st.
