This Saturday’s Market at the Square, or Scare will feature lots of fun Halloween-y type things to do. From the Facebook event:
Join the Urbana Public Arts Program and Urbana’s Market at the Square for MARKET AT THE SCARE!, our annual fall celebration at the Urbana farmers market! From 8am-12pm, join the Urbana Public Arts Program for fun for the whole family including: a pop-up photo booth with props, character greeters, fall crafts, and a spooky story time! Market patrons are encouraged to dress up in costume and youth can trick-or-treat at select vendors!
From 8 am-12pm, join us for a Make-a-Monster workshop with Melissa’s Monsters. Youth can create their own monster out of fabric to take home!
From 9:30am-11:30am, join us for a live concert from Urbana Pops Orchestra playing all of your favorite ghostly songs. Sing along and join in some dancing fun for all ages.
All these events are free, open to all ages, and require no registration to participate. The workshop and performance will be held on Walnut Street near the City of Urbana tent at the northwest entrance to the Market at the Square, located in historic downtown Urbana on Illinois and Vine. The City offers art programming during Urbana’s Market at the Square season. Happy haunting!
