Summer is ending, and fall is upon us, but there is still fun to be had at the Orpheum Children’s Science Museum.
If you have kiddos in kindergarten through sixth grade, they can participate in the clubs happening on Saturdays throughout the fall. They begin September 7th, and offer opportunities to do some hands-on activities in science and technology:
Imagination City (K-5th): Explore the engineering, design, and creative potential of LEGO.
Jr. Robotics (K-1st and 2nd-4th): Explore the world of robotics by using the Lego WeDo kits. Students who have already encountered the Lego WeDo kits before will be encouraged to take on a more challenging set of builds.
Exploring Robotics (3rd-6th): Learn robotics basics by working with LEGO Mindstorms®. Participants will work in teams to build models, attach sensors and motors that are plugged into a computer, and configure behaviors using a simple programming tool.
You can find full descriptions and dates here, and register for clubs here.
