Beckman Institute is celebrating 30 years of existence this fall, and earlier this week they shared this photo of the area pre-Beckman. It was home to Illinois Field from 1884 to 1988, which of course now resides along Kirby Avenue in Champaign.
Beckman has some events planned in October to commemorate their anniversary, all are free and open to all.
