The Champaign Center Partnership, along with the Champaign County Chamber of Commerce, is offering a free seminar to connect local businesses with the University of Illinois community on September 24th from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the Illini Union.

Campus Connections: Local Businesses + UIUC Seminar serves as a point of entry for local businesses looking to establish and strengthen connections with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Through a panel discussion and break-out session, participants will learn how their business or organization can partner with the UIUC community to engage student volunteers, post for interns, and collaborate with student groups to identify innovative solutions to business problems. In addition, participants will learn how they can participate and promote their business or organization at university events including Illinois Homecoming 2019.
There will be representatives from various UIUC departments serving as panelists for the event: Dana Cohen, Dual Career Program, Illinois Human Resources; James R. Hintz, Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Success & Engagement; Katie Shumway, Director of the Community Learning Lab; Marissa Sierro, Magelli Office of Experiential Learning, Gies College of Business; Monica Towner, Campus Recruiting and Job/Internship Preparation, The Career Center; and Kirstin Wilcox, Humanities Professional Resource Center, College of LAS.
