In this community conversation event, they will be trying to answer the question:
“How can we create spaces and programs for teens to thrive?”
Saturday, October 14th from 1 to 4 p.m., organizations and individuals (including teens) who want to see increased opportunities for teens to thrive and succeed in our community are invited to Lincoln Square Mall to join in the conversation and identify what’s needed in C-U then come up with concrete solutions. From the Facebook event page:
“A variety of organizations provide excellent resources for teens, yet many teens, teachers, and families feel there are not enough opportunities for teens to learn, work, create, or generally stay active when not in school. What’s the disconnect? And what should we do? This event will gather and mobilize our community to answer these questions.”
Participation is free, you will be provided lunch, and there will be free child care on site. You can register for the event here.
