Champaign Center Partnership is offering up the first Hometown Holiday Shop & Stroll this Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. From the press release:
“Over fifteen shops and cafes will be opening their doors in Champaign’s Downtown, Midtown and Campustown neighborhoods for an afternoon shopping event featuring sales, promos, hot cocoa, sweet treats, gift wrapping, live music and trolley rides. Participants can stroll, shop and enjoy the hospitality of our local shops and cafes in Champaign’s historic business districts.”
You can head to Orpheum Children’s Science Museum and snag tickets for a 30 minute trolley ride that includes entry to their Snow Globe and a free hot chocolate from Bossa Nova. We’ve tried it. It’s delicious.
Buy Black Chambana and Neil Street Blues will be hosting Pictures with (Black) Santa, there will be free gifting wrapping, cookies, and cocoa at Eden Supportive Living, there will be carolers…much festiveness will be happening.
And, if you visit at least eight participating business, you can enter into a drawing to win a $100 gift certificate to the member CCP business of your choice.
