The Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center has announced the selection of a new executive director, Miriam Larson. Larson is a former school librarian who will assume the job today. From the press release:
“Her passion for diversity and social justice activism makes her a perfect fit for the IMC. The board is confident that Miriam is a person who will continue to advance the IMC’s mission — to provide a path for underrepresented voices to be heard, a nurturing space for creative expression, and to gather people together to work for social justice.”
