Allerton Park and Retreat Center is hosting their annual weekend of learning about and tasting beers on February 29th and March 1st. There will be educational seminars, tasting opportunities, a beer pairing dinner, and if you choose to stay overnight there will be Boots and Beer Hike on Sunday morning.
There will be beers from 4204-Main Street Brewing Company, Sierra Nevada, Half Acre Beer Company, Schlafly Beer, Revolution Brewing, Bell’s Brewery, BrickStone Brewery, The Old Bakery Beer Company, JT Walker’s Restaurant and Brewery, Maplewood Brewery & Distillery, Truly Hard Seltzer, and Dogfish Head.
You can participate at various levels:
Educational seminars and tastings, 1 to 5 p.m., $5 admission, tasting tickets are $1 each
Seminars and tastings + dinner (find the menu here), 1 to 5 p.m., 6 to 8 p.m., $89 for admission and four course beer pairing dinner, tasting tickets $1 each
If you choose to stay overnight, lodging is $80, which includes the Boots and Brew Hike. Call 217-333-3287 to make lodging reservations.
