Once a month at Seven Saints, a group of community members gather and share seven minute personal stories with whoever would like to listen.
That’s My Story CU informally formed in 2016, when the group gathered for a storytelling workshop. They’ve been meeting ever since, and for the past year have been sharing their stories at Seven Saints. Their mission is “to create an inclusive and safe environment to share stories from all corners of our community to celebrate our common humanity.”
Anyone can join in the storytelling experience, and no experience is required. They practice the second Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m. at UniPlace Christian Church, and you can show up the fourth Tuesday at Seven Saints to stand up and share. The storytelling happens from 6:30 to 8 p.m., but you are encouraged to get there by 6 p.m. to sign up for a slot.
