History on Tap is a series, organized by Champaign County Forest Preserves, that travels Champaign County, offering interesting lectures in boozy settings. April’s event, “Women, Alcohol, and The Vote” was scheduled to happen at 25 O’Clock Brewing, but instead it will be held virutally from 7 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29th.
So grab some cocktails or beer, or an entire bottle of wine, and settle in front of your computer to hear Barb Garvey, Director of the Museum of the Grand Prairie, share stories about the intersection of Prohibition (the 18th Amendment) and women’s suffrage (the 19th Amendment).
Additional details are available on the event’s Facebook page.
