We’re all pretty familiar with ReStore being an option to support Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County with our donations of household items. But did you know you can also donate a car to Habitat? Here is what you need to know:
- They will accept cars, trucks, motorcycles, recreational vehicles, boats, snowmobiles, farm equipment and construction equipment…the vehicle does not have to be able to run, just needs four inflated tires for hauling purposes
- The vehicle is then sold through either an auction or direct buyer
- Habitat receives about 80% of the revenue
- You can claim a tax deduction for your donation
