Fashion illustration combines two of my favorite things: design and illustration. And the way the students in the University of Illinois Fashion Illustration course do it is totally cutting edge (sorry, I couldn’t resist). The student-created VR dresses, which were on display at the School of Art + Design Bloc Gallery from April 25th through May 1st, are now available to view online. Start by checking out the demo of how the in-person QR-code-based technology offered an AR (augmented reality) view. Then, get a virtual behind-the-scenes look at how the art and the technology were created.
