HV Neighborhood Transformation, an organization working on “disrupting cycles of violence” in Champaign-Urbana will begin their 40 days of peace and community building initiative with a Juneteenth celebration at West Side Park this Saturday.
The event is from 12 to 8 p.m., and will include entertainment, food vendors, face painting, a bounce house, and more. They are asking for donations of water, juice, and packaged snacks. Those can be dropped off at their office at 116 W Main in Urbana now through Friday, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
