The Overture: March 25–31

WHEN: Tuesday, March 26th at 7 p.m.

The Flask Brothers are the duo of Chris Strand, better known for his work with the Curses and performing solo from time to time, alongside Phil Alley of Black Coffee Fridays. Not sure what type of music this is going to be, but if I had to guess, I’d say something along the folk or Americana route. Go find out for yourself on Tuesday.

EDITOR’S PICK: I AM GOD, DOJO FOR CROOKS, THE HOWL, THE HEAVY MACHINE, THE CHEAPER HITS
Mike ‘N Molly’s ($5) — Friday, March 29th at 8 p.m.

Another week, another bill packed with bands for the 5 Bands 5 Bucks series. This week features a few locals and out of towners, headlined by local electro-glitched out crew I am God. Plenty of bang for your buck for this, which is the point of the whole series to begin with. Pretty good stuff to look forward to this weekend.

Kansas City’s Dojo for Crooks heads into town as they are on a short tour across the Midwest, and The Howl is on the road as well. Lots of good stuff happening here.
