EDITOR’S PICK: ARIEL PINK’S HAUNTED GRAFFITI, PURPLE PILGRIMS
The Highdive ($15) — Monday, June 3rd at 9 p.m.
An early week show makes the Editor’s Pick this week, and for good reason. Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti is in town at the Highdive tonight with touring pals Purple Pilgrims. I said just about everything I had to say in today’s cover story as I had the pleasure of talking to Pink prior to the show. Check that one out and do yourself a favor and get with this show tonight.
Local C-U alt-rockers Timmy D and Blind Justice perform all by their lonesome on Saturday night at the Canopy Club. They’ll be releasing their new record sometime soon, and I would imagine you could pick up a copy early at this show.
