Start your week off with Indie rock solo project Your Friend at The Accord. Your Friend recently released her debut album Gumption– check out one of the songs from it- “Come Back From It”. Also performing will be local singer-songwriter Maddy Marsan and KVMPVIGN.

What: Summer Camp Music Wednesdays featuring music from EGI and Old Shoe

Where: The Canopy Club ($3)

When: Wednesday, April 20th at 10 p.m.

Enjoy your 4/20 by taking in some progressive funk rock from EGi for only three bucks. Chicago based psychadelic jam band Old Shoe will also be playing.

What: Montana of 300

Where: The Canopy Club ($16 in advance, $21 at the door)

When: Thursday, April 21st at 9 p.m.

Chicago drill rapper Montana of 300 blew up with the success of his “Chiraq (remix)”, since then he has steadily rolled out hit tracks. Check out what he is all about on Thursday at The Canopy Club. Also taking the stage will be local rapper Chase Baby, Marleyy76, Lawless Montana, Red-moon, and Reuben X.

Come out and celebrat the Working Women’s EXPO with some great live music featuring Andy Mo, Candy Foster, and many more.

What: Joe Pug

Where: The Canopy Club ($13 in advance, $15 at the door)

When: Friday, April 22nd at 9 p.m.

Folk singer-songwriter Joe Pug returns to Urbana for a show at The Canopy Club this Friday night. Pug gained a lot of attention back around 2010 with songs like “Hymn 101”. Also performing will be local singer-songwriters Emily Blue and Rebecca Rego.

What: Shiner

Where: The Accord ($17 in advance, $20 at the door)

When: Friday, April 22nd at 8:30 p.m.

Post-hardcore group Shiner was active from 1992 to 2003 and now are doing a reunion tour. Also perfoming will be Tang Dynasty and local rock group Withershins.

What: The Fights

Where: Rose Bowl Tavern (free)

When: Friday, April 22nd at 8 p.m.

Local alt-country favorite The Fights are back with a free show this Friday. Check out their music video for “Sun, why don’t you shine down my alley?” which was shot on location at the Rose Bowl. Also playing will be Nick Dittmeier & the Sawdusters, an Americana group from Louisville.

What: Gharbzadegi Art Show

Where: Institute 4 Creativity (free)

When: Friday, April 22nd at 9 p.m.

This is the first ever multimedia art show for the Gharbzadegi Art Collective. There will be live music from Cii La’Cole, KVMPVIGN, Square Donuts, Young Club, Blackmage, and Jinn and Mejnun.

What: So Long Forgotten

Where: The Accord ($8 in advance, $10 at the door)

When: Saturday, April 23rd at 11 p.m.

Indie rock group So Long Forgotten recently released their self-titled album, which is their first release in six years, and now they are playing their final show this Saturday at The Accord. Also playing will be Decatur rock group Greenwood, and indie solo project ZXO.

What: Euriah

Where: Institute 4 Creativity ($5)

When: Saturday, April 23rd at 8 p.m.

Local emo rock group Euriah are headlining this all-ages show over at the I4C. Joining them will be local punk rock group Old Fox Road, indie rock group City Mouth, and Tuesday Lovelies.

What: Bookmobile!

Where: Mike N Molly’s ($5)

When: Saturday, April 23rd at 9 p.m.

There are only a limited number of shows left at Mike N Molly’s- but you can catch local punk band Bookmobile this Saturday as they play along with fellow rockers the acme principle, and The Autocorrect.

What: Tom Kastle

Where: Pizza M ($20, $10 for students/seniors)

When: Saturday, April 23rd at 7 p.m.

Folk singer-songwriter Tom Kastle will be visiting us on Saturday night and is likely to play some classic maritime tunes. Joining him will be local singer Chris Maden.

What: Sam Feldt

Where: The Canopy Club ($15)

When: Sunday, April 24th at 9 p.m.

Tropical house DJ Sam Feldt has gained a lot of popularity thanks to his hit remix “Show Me Love”. Give it a listen and get hyped for the show on Sunday- should be a party.
