WHAT: eCISSA Meeting
WHERE: The UP Center of Champaign County
WHEN: Friday, July 29, 7:00–10:00 p.m.
The goal of eCISSA is to eliminate all bullying of LGBTQ students and to create a school environment where youth feel nurtured and safe to be themselves, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. All middle and high school youth are invited to attend. Youth participation is kept strictly confidential.
At Friday’s meeting, we will enjoy a summer pizza party and work on creating inclusive curriculum lesson plans.

WHAT: Strike UP: 2nd Annual Cosmic Bowl-a-thon
WHERE: Illini Union Rec Room
WHEN: Sunday, July 31, 2:00–5:00 p.m.
The Families Group and Youth Committee of The UP Center are excited to announce the 2nd Annual Cosmic Bowl-a-thon, Strike UP! Get your friends and family together for an afternoon of fun and bowling.
The cost for one lane (for up to four people) for one hour (including shoes) is $30. All proceeds benefit the Families Group and the Youth Committee and will enable The UP Center to provide more supportive and community-building activities for these groups.

We are: an informal support group made up of lesbian, bisexual, and queer women students; a place to meet other women who share your concerns and to form or broaden your social support network; an opportunity to decrease the alienation and isolation of being a lesbian or bisexual woman in a majority heterosexual environment; and a great chance to exchange ideas, experiences, and opinions. Among Women is open to all graduate and undergraduate students.
